Sugied Process
April 24th, 2007, in Do It Yourself, by Guest.Noah asks about the sugied process to be found mentioned in the finishing wood section in – Cypress & How To Finish It.
To Whom it may concern:
I’m currently an Industrial Design student at Metropolitan State College. I’m building an entry way table using American Cypress. I’m looking to finish with a stain in the next few days, and I was reading in your web-site about the “Sugied” process. This involves burning the wood, then cleaning off the charcoal with a wire brush, and filling it with a filler or toner. The process sounds really interesting and appealing. I’m curious which fillers, and toners are sypatico with the wood, and which white stain I should use? I would greatly appreciate if someone who knows the details about this process to e-mail me.
Thank you, Noah August.
