Terra Cotta Garden Pots

¶ No decoration adds more to the natural beauties of a country place at so little expense as a few terra cotta vases, planters, and pots filled with flowering plants. Any expedient therefore that furnishes so much gratification on such terms will be welcomed by those wishing to improve their grounds.

¶ We present two cuts, figs. 185 and 186, of terra cotta vases, which favorably exhibit the degree of perfection to which this mode of ornament may be carried. The material is well suited for the purpose of growing flowers; being a non conductor and slightly porous, it is decidedly preferable to iron. Great improvements have been made latterly in the manufacture of terra cotta pots and vases, both as regards quality and design, and the manufacturer warrants them to stand exposure to the weather in any climate.
