Golden Oak Water Stain

¶ Used on Oak and Other Woods.

¶ Formula:

3 ounces loutre aniline, dry, water soluble,
1 ounce naphthol yellow, aniline, dry, water soluble,
½ to 2 gallons of hot water, depending upon the kind of wood and how dark a color is wanted.
Brush on one or more coats of the above stain. Sandpaper and clean up.

¶ Filler:

For oak and other open grain woods use a silex (silica) filler. Color with Vandyke brown ground in oil and a little asphaltum varnish.

¶ Finish:

Shellac, orange. Varnish and polish to high, gloss.
